About Portal

If you main a sword or a gun, Portal is the Legendary we would look at first. Its moves hand out stuns and mobility rather than damage, so your weapon does the killing while the fruit sets it up. With four mobility abilities it has plenty of ways to move, and you can open portals on land, in the air or over water.

Outside combat, the teleport sends you to almost any island in the game, with a few restricted spots. Players lean on it to track down the Legendary Sword Dealer, Barista Cousin and Elite Pirates, or for fruit hunting. [X], [C] and [V] take you out of the area, which throws off Instinct's player detection, though an enemy with Pale Scarf can usually still find you.

Fruit mains should skip it. Damage is low outside one ability, cooldowns are long, there is little AoE, and Sea Beast hunts go poorly. Attacks are close-range and mostly single-target, they need precise timing, and an opponent can Instinct-trick a grab to get out. In a sword-versus-sword fight, Blade counters it. Early on, the mastery grind is steep too.
