About Diamond

Everything in Diamond hinges on the transformation: you encrust your body in diamond for protection, and none of the attacks work until you are transformed. From that state you conjure diamonds to hit opponents and reflect light off your body to blind anyone close by. On top of those moves, the fruit also comes with an M1 attack.

Update 24 reworked the fruit and added a TAP move that resembles an older move, Beaming Tackle. We will wait for more matches with the reworked kit before we rate its damage and range.

For collectors, the angle is purely cosmetic: every Diamond skin is themed on a gem or mineral. If you are choosing among Uncommon fruits, it plays very differently from Elemental options such as Sand, because its protection comes from staying transformed rather than from an Elemental passive.
