About Gas

Gas plays like two fruits, and the transformed one is why people chase it. Condense the vapor into the towering gas form and the moves change completely. Huge AoE, spammable abilities and strong damage turn you into a tank that punishes teams, and the form lets you stand and walk on water.

Untransformed, the AoE is weak, but Elemental immunity and a good [M1] still carry you through grinding in every sea. One habit we recommend: hit [M1] four times, wait about 1.5 seconds and start again. The last hit of the chain has high knockback that scatters NPCs and slows the early grind.

Water walking, short cooldowns and high damage suit it to Sea Events, and it handles raids and Dungeons too. The trouble starts in fast PvP. Every attack can be Instinct-tricked, knockback sometimes hands the enemy an escape, and some moves must be held while you stand still. Travel is slow as well: flight is sluggish and there are no speed buffs for island hopping.

After Dough, Gas is the second Mythical Elemental fruit. The purple ring of fumes around you is purely cosmetic. Physical Gas is highly sought after, so expect traders to value it accordingly.
