About Venom

Venom is a counter-pick. Its poison ticks interrupt fruits that need held moves for full damage, such as Dough, T-Rex, Bomb and Spider, and it is one of the few fruits that can fully counter transformed Dragon thanks to heavy tick damage and high AoE, backed by a tanky transformation.

The puddle passive does a lot of that work. Poison pools stay on the ground for 10 seconds and drain Instinct dodges from anyone trying to avoid them while your very low cooldowns come back. All moves except [V] break Instinct, and at close range in tight spaces few fruits keep up. Up in the air the puddles do nothing.

Transforming into the giant hydra needs a full Fury Meter, which charges on its own rather than from damage, plus 300 mastery to unlock. Once transformed, you lose fighting styles, swords and guns, and flight is time-limited. Poison from [X], [C] and [F] does not stack; a fresh effect replaces the old one.

We like it for grinding with [F] and for Sea Events, where the transformation's tick damage puts it level with or above Magma against Sea Beasts. Its main rival among Mythicals is Gas, which has a similar transformation and much better mobility.
